Michael J. Tedder – is co-founder and President of Emergent Communications, Inc. Mike is also Founder and Managing Partner of SkyMeadow Ventures, a Connecticut based LLP and one of the original investors in SIP Communications, Inc. (now known as CounterPath) a Columbia University Science & Technology Venture spin-out company launched in 2000. Prior to launching Emergent and SkyMeadow, Mike held positions in Global Accounts Sales and Sales Management at AT&T, responsible for sales, implementation and account relationship management of various Data and IP services to Fortune 500 companies in the Eastern United States from 1990-2003. Mike started his professional career at Merrill Lynch after graduation from University of Connecticut where his positions ranged from margin operations, institutional trading desk and support operations, and individual portfolio management until joining AT&T.
Santo J. Pittsman – is a co-founder and Vice President of Emergent Communications, Inc. Santo is also a co-Founder, and President of LearningSpan, Inc. an e-learning applications service provider based in northern New Jersey. Santo began his career with KPMG in its New York office. Thereafter, he held financial positions of increasing responsibility with a publicly traded specialty chemical manufacturer and was the CFO of a publicly traded paging company with 4,000 employees. Mr. Pittsman also served as CFO of SIP Communications, Inc. and SIPquest, Inc., now known as (First Hand Technologies), a successful spin-out company from Columbia University's Science and Technology Ventures unit, formed in 2000 to commercialize SIP based Voice Over IP (VoIP) communications technology invented at Columbia. Santo is a 1982 graduate of the University of Scranton, in Scranton PA.
